Introducing The Heavy-Duty Spreader: 250kg+ Of Stainless Strength

Introducing the Heavy-Duty Spreader: internal U-channel reinforcement, forged studs and 250 kg+ load capacity for the largest residential awnings.

The LoadBear Team3 min read

Our Heavy-Duty Spreader sits flat to the wall and shares the load of the awning across multiple courses of brick. All stainless, all TIG welded, with an internal U-channel and web brace — tested to over 250kg per bracket with no failures.

We designed the Heavy-Duty Spreader to sit flat against the wall and spread the load of the awning bracket down and across multiple courses of brick. Every one is load tested to over 250kg per bracket with no failures — well beyond what any domestic awning will ever ask of it.

Internal U-Channel + Web Brace

Inside the bracket is a U-shaped channel that carries load across the top two brick courses, giving 8mm of stainless steel at the most important contact points. We’ve also engineered an internal web brace that runs to the top of the bracket — a huge strength increase that keeps the awning rock solid in heavy wind and rain.

All Stainless, All TIG Welded

Every component of the Heavy-Duty Spreader is stainless steel — including the décor panel, which fits neatly with a single colour-coded stainless countersunk screw to match your awning. All joints are TIG welded by our in-house welders for a clean, structural finish.

No Visible Fixings

Sat next to the Standard Spreader, the Heavy-Duty version is unmistakable — but the install is just as tidy. There are no visible fixings into the brickwork; everything is hidden behind the colour-matched cover for the most attractive, strongest spreader option we offer.

On The Wall

Here’s a Heavy-Duty Spreader installed on a recent job — sitting flush to a rendered wall, supporting a full cassette awning with a clean, hidden fixing.
