Cookie Policy
Last updated: 23 April 2026
You can change your cookie choices at any time.
This Cookie Policy explains how Wheeler Fabrications Ltd (trading as “LoadBear”) uses cookies and similar technologies on load-bear.co.uk (the “Site”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember things about your visit — such as your cart contents or sign-in session — and help us understand how the site is used. We also use similar technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage, which behave like cookies for the purpose of this policy.
2. The categories of cookies we use
We group cookies into three categories:
Essential cookies (always on)
These are strictly necessary to operate the Site and provide the services you have asked for — for example, keeping you signed in, remembering your cart and processing payment. They do not require your consent under PECR.
- Authentication & session (Supabase) — keeps you signed in to your LoadBear account.
- Cart & checkout state (LoadBear) — remembers items in your cart and your checkout progress.
- Cookie consent (LoadBear) — stores your choices on this banner so we don’t keep asking.
- Stripe payment cookies — set by Stripe during checkout to process payment securely and prevent fraud. See Stripe’s cookie information.
Analytics cookies (consent required)
If you accept, we may use analytics tools to understand which pages and products people visit so we can improve the site. We currently do not run third-party analytics, but if we add a tool such as Google Analytics or Plausible in the future it will only set cookies after you give consent.
Marketing cookies (consent required)
If you accept, we may use marketing tools (such as Meta Pixel or Google Ads) to show you relevant ads on other websites and measure their effectiveness. As with analytics, no marketing cookies are set unless you give consent.
3. Lawful basis
We rely on the “strictly necessary” exemption under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) for essential cookies. For analytics and marketing cookies we rely on your consent, which you can give, refuse or withdraw at any time using the banner or the “Manage cookie preferences” button above.
4. How long cookies last
- Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period — typically up to 12 months.
- Your cookie consent choice is stored for 12 months, after which we’ll ask you again.
5. Controlling cookies
You can change your choices on this site at any time using the cookie preferences button.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings — see the help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge. Please note that disabling essential cookies will prevent parts of the Site (such as the cart and checkout) from working.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the latest revision. If we add new categories of cookies, we will ask for your consent again where required.
7. Contact
